Early Life

Colwill was born Colwill was born on 26 February 2003 in Southampton, Hampshire to Levi Colwill Samuel Snr and Mrs Deborah S. He is privileged to come from a rich football heritage as two of his Uncles were both professional footballers. He is the first child of his parents. Another uncle, Daniel Mason, also plays for Sholing and works for Southampton.

According to our sources, Colwill has just one brother Jayvon Samuel with who he shares his great moments with despite the significant age difference between them.

Club Career

Levil Colwill’s career set off when he joined the Chelsea Academy at Under-nine level. However, he signed his first professional contract with chelsea in February 2020 on his 17^th birthday. Colwill was subsequently loaned to the Championship club Huddersfield town for the 2021-22 season where he made his debut on a 4 -2 penalty shout out win against Sheffieldd Wednesday in the 2021-22 EFL Cup on August 1 and proceeded to make his league debut on 7^th in a 1 – 1 draw with Derby County.

His great moment came with him scoring his first career goal on August 21 in a 2- 1 win against Shelfied United and for the rest of the season he suffered from injuries and COVID-19 which had great impact on his performance. However he also had his worst moment as is with the game of football when he scored an own goal withHuddersfield losing 1 – 0 to Notthingham forest in the 2022 Championshipt play -off final.

Colwill again went on loan to Brighton and Hove ALbion for the 2022-23 season on August 5 making his debut two days later as a stoppage time substitute In a 2-1 win against Manchester United.It wasn’t until November 13 that he got his first premier league start which came in a 2 – 1 home defeat against Aston Villa. He concluded the season making a total of 13 starts in the premier league with Brighton qualifying for the UEFA Europa league for the fist time in the history of the club. However it was reported on June 1 2023 according to our sources that Chelsea had rejected a £30 million bid from Brighton for Colwill.

On Augustt 2023, Colwill signed a new 6 year contract with Chelsea with an opiton for an additional year. Colwill made his official debut for Chelsea in their opening match for the 2023-24 season with Liverpool which ended as draw. Colwill scored his first goal for Chelsea on December 3 in a 3 -2 win over Brighton. on 6th December, he captained Chelsea for the first time in a 2 – 1 loss against Manchester United.

International Career

Colwill has been a consistent player for his England from his youth winning the Syrenka cup with England U-17 in 2019. He made his debut on 10 November, 2021 as the captain of the English U-19 in a 4-0 win over Andorra. He scored his first goal for the U-19 on 17 November in a 2-0 win over Sweden.

He was also called up for the U-21 in August 2021 making his debut on 25 March 2022 in a 4-1 win over Andorra. Colwill was included in the England squad for the 2023 UEFA European U-21 Championship. He played an essential in the teams’ success starting five of Englands’ six games and helping his country secure the tournament.

In August 2023, Colwill received his first call up to the England senior squad after having linked up with the senior squad the first tine in June 2023 as part of the travelling party to a UEFA Euro 2024 qualifying match against Malta. He made his senior debut in a friendly match against Australia on 13 October 2023. Although Colwill was not selected for UEFA Euro 2024 he however returned to the squad for England’s UEFA Nations league where he made his first competitive appearance for his dear nation against the Republic of Ireland on 7 September 2024.
